2021 California Alternative Dispute Resolution Conference Presentation

Creating and Leveraging a Mindful “Partnership Continuum”

Parent and educator partnerships are key to successful results for students with disabilities. Building trust, sharing information, and valuing the participation of all partners leads to increased engagement and results for students. Defining proactive activities that encourage meaningful interactions coupled with alternative dispute resolution processes is the basis for establishing a Partnership Continuum. The Continuum should be established, implemented with fidelity, maintained, and measured by design not chance. This presentation, in dialogue format, will feature strategies and tools for creating a “Partnership Continuum” as well as developing data collection systems to measure effort and effect that leads to achieving desired results."
